Putin and the Possibility of Nuclear War

Vladimir Putin is but a barometer of the breakdown of the international order. Mental health experts were not the only ones who knew he would gravitate toward nuclear weapons when cornered. Yet we have foregone all alternative options to push him to this point. Why? Unless we can answer this critical question about our own policies and correct course, our chances of instantaneous self-annihilation through nuclear war will become unacceptable.
